Seaton Summer Challenge a testament to the outdoor lifestyle

Seaton has been designed to make the most of the outdoors. Having introduced its first edition, Seaton hosted the Seaton Summer Challenge on the 19th January. This outdoor running event attracted an array of top South African athletes; delivering on its promise to be fun, explorative and home to some of KwaZulu-Natal’s most picturesque and unspoiled natural settings.

The Seaton Summer Challenge was in partnership with KZN Trail Running, and those who participated had a choice of taking on one of three purpose-built courses ranging from 5km, 10km to 18km. The trail used Seaton and Zululami Luxury Coastal Estate’s 26km nature trails that wind through the estates and create breath-taking and challenging experiences.

Hank McGregor, a South African marathon canoeist and surf ski racer, took the top spot for the 18km challenge clocking in 1 hour, 14 minutes and 12 seconds. While Salomon sponsored Ultra Trail Runner and local world-class athlete; Andrew Erasmus placed second in the 18km race. Rory Scheffer ranked number 1 in the 10km race with 43 minutes 38 seconds, and Calvin Brigg took first place at the 5km challenge with 26 minutes and 19 seconds.

“KwaZulu-Natal, especially the North Coast, is home to myriad of avid runners and outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. Following the success of last year’s first edition of the Seaton Spring Challenge, we anticipated a great turn out for this upcoming event,” shares Murray Collins, Developer behind Zululami Luxury Coastal Estate and Seaton.

The nature trails are just a touch of the outdoor facilities on offer, explore the direct access routes to the prestigious Christmas Bay and Sheffield Beach, enjoy a game of tennis at Zululami, or incorporate the outdoors into your regular gym routine.

Families and active individuals can easily and effortlessly embrace the unique lifestyle offered at Seaton. Stands are selling from R990 000 at The Club, the first phase of Seaton. This is your opportunity to book your site visit and experience the natural surrounds first-hand.
